InstaFan - 5 Biopsy Specimens in 1 Pass
Current EUS-FNA/B (Endoscopic Ultrasound – Fine Needle Aspiration, Fine Needle Biopsy) platforms have only one needle, which entails a biopsy with high false negative rate, mainly from sampling error, leading to incorrect diagnosis and inappropriate or untimely treatment.
OnePass Medical aims to change that by innovating the platform itself.
InstaFan is a disposable multi-needle EUS-FNA/B device (vs. currents ones that use one needle). It enables taking biopsies simultaneously in one pass from five different locations in a tumor by combining two types of needles:
Central Needle
A 22-gauge FNB as its central needle.
4 Peripheral Needles
Four smaller 25-gauge FNA peripheral needles.
Two needle stylet caps: One for the central needle and one for the 4 peripheral needles.

Increases sample sites' number on a tumor and thus reduces sampling errors!
Saves money
​Much lower chance to damage the EUS or for a needle to break or kink. (Replacing a broken or kinked needle is not reimbursed and comes at an expense of the hospital.)
